EVOLUTION
2008
“Evolution” – illustration based on “The Time Wanderers” by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky. The main character of the story discovers new abilities, and that separates him from his relatives and friends forever. He can fly in the Universe without a spaceship, but has lost any connection with his family.

Lacquer painting. Artwork was published in the “Russian Lacquer Painting XXI Century” art album (L.Pirogova, Interbook Business, 2006). "Young Moscow Artist K. RAPTURE
2004
“Rapture” – illustration based on Andersen’s “Snow Queen”. It was interesting for me to use modern visual language to illustrate a classic story by Andersen, to make a sort of remix. The work itself however was created with traditional materials, being a lacquer painting.
