Based on the story “The Snow Queen” by H. C. Andersen. I was interested in experimenting with the contrast between the theme and the style, finding among traditional fairy-tale motifs those topical to this day.

In the modern culture the image of a punk is close to the image of a Jester (or a trickster). He is free from any hierarchy and rules and doesn’t conform to the norms of society.
In my creation I’m depicting a circus arena, where characters of jesters-punks with the portrait of Sid Vicious (as an avatar of the very concept of a Punk) in the center are creating a surreal mystery.

Let’s imagine that continued evolution will give some people new abilities. How will they feel in a society that won’t have reached their level of development yet? Will they feel more lonely and separated from the dearest? The idea of this work appeared after reading the novel “The Waves Extinguish The Wind”(“The Time Wanderers”) by A. and B. Strugatsky. The main hero can travel in the space without a spaceship, but he has lost all connections with his family.
